Cork Ferryport is situated at Ringaskiddy, 16km SE via N28.  A connecting bus service is available to the city centre from the ferryport.

There is a rail service between Roscoff and Morlaix (24km).  Morlaix is on the main Paris Atlantique TGV high speed rail route (Morlaix - Paris journey time 3h46 - reservation obligatory on most TGV services)   SNCF rail schedules, fare information and online reservations. SNCF call center tel 3635 (EUR 0,34/min) - for schedule information, reservations, real-time arrival information, etc.  Unfortunately it is no longer possible to contact this French rail monopoly call center from outside France by telephone! 

Roscoff is reached by the E50 from Paris.

If your journey involves transiting the Paris area, from the South we would suggest the "outer ring" system, avoiding the BP (ie N104 > A10/E50 in the direction of Chartres, Le Mans and Rennes for Roscoff.  Alternatively, for Le Harve and Cherbourg take the N104 to N118 and then A13/E5 in the direction of Rouen.  Traffic forecast maps for your intended date of travel on the French autoroute system are available from the ASF website, as is information on real-time traffic conditions.    Bison-Fute maintains a comprehensive database of road traffic conditions in France affecting all types of road, including roadworks, details of closed tunnels and mountain passes, and forecast traffic problems in each region.  Traffic conditions are also available by telephone on +33 8 92 68 10 77 (0,34 EUR/min within France). 

Traffic maps for the Paris area are available from Sytadin.  A dedicated motorway traffic information and music service is available on FM 107.7 and generally provides an excellent service in keeping one advised of problems.
