Ireland | Revised Speed Limits 2005
The following are legal maximum speeds for passenger cars. Discretion
should be used when driving in conditions of poor visibility.
Cut your accident risk by:
1. Improving your visibility to other road users by always driving
with dipped headlights even on sunny days.
2. Be sure to keep a distance of at least 100 m between you and the
vehicle in front, with the possible exception of when driving in slow,
dense urban traffic.
3. Avoid involving yourself in a head-on collision by
not
overtaking except on a divided highway or where a special overtaking
lane is provided.
